I recently forked Transmission for macOS and started making a few changes of my own.

I call it Transmission Plus.
The idea was simple: keep the things I like about Transmission, but make the macOS interface a little more useful for the way I use it.
The main changes are around the transfer list. Progress is easier to read, files can be opened directly inside the list, and each file has its own progress indicator.
I also added a few small interface improvements, including light, dark, and system appearance, easier file access, and more control without constantly opening another window.

It is still a personal project and an unofficial modification of Transmission. The torrent engine itself remains from the original project; most of what I’ve been changing is the macOS experience.
I don’t know yet how far I’ll take it. For now, I’m enjoying having an excuse to spend some time with an application I use regularly.
Transmission Plus is available on GitHub:

If you try it, I’d love to hear what you think. Feedback, suggestions, and bug reports are always welcome.
And if you find the project useful and would like to support my little experiments, you can buy me a coffee:

It helps me keep making and maintaining small apps and projects like this.
