iPhone 5s

iphone 5s

The updated version of last years iPhone 5 is here. As always, faster, new Camera app, a new Gold color in addition to the Black and White and the first iPhone to carry the 64 bit processor. From outside, the model remains unchanged from iPhone 5. The upgrades are mostly under the hood and via features.

But the most awaited feature was the Fingerprint scanning ID. The iPhone now unlocks via scanning your fingerprint although I’m not sure if this new method is faster than the simple pass code but that remains to be tested.

The new camera  app adds some interesting features such as Burst mode where you take up to 10 shot per second, better flash handling (works hand in hand with the new improved flash sensor) and a slow motion video playback to name a few. Of course the possibilities for 3rd party apps are endless.

Of course its IOS 7 read, and three casings available from apple although they are not as good as the iPhone 5c ones.

This is the updated version of iPhone’s 5, and it dose a good job at updating unlikely last years model which didn’t bring anything new to the table. I know I will be upgrading soon.

iPhone 5c is here!

iPhone 5cThe wait is over, the long rumored cheaper plastic model also known as iPhone 5c is here.

To my surprise, Apple handled this far better than the iPad mini which is basically a smaller iPad 2.

Skipping all the boring stuff, here are some points every one understands:

• Comes in five different colors

• Six different cases made by Apple

• Home screen matches the actual color of the outside casing (Same color as the iPhone)

•  A6 chip (Faster than iPhone 4s)

• Improved8 Megapixel Camera

• New Camera App

• IOS 7 Ready

My Take on this: Honestly, surprised. This model is basically an improved iPhone 5 which is surprising, and shocking in a good way considering it was made for the less privileged. Starting at $100 per contract is a good deal as well.

Will cover more as information becomes available or the phone itself for testing.

Pixlr Online Editor

A quick Photoshop alternative, kind of. I remember downloading it for my iPhone 4S back in the day. Now its a full online editing app with advance features.

Excellent for a quick edit especially when your at someones house.

HDMI 2.0

Surprisingly, HDMI 2 is announced with features bellow:

HDMI 2.0, which is backwards compatible with earlier versions of the HDMI specifications, significantly increases bandwidth up to 18Gbps and adds key enhancements to support continuing market requirements for enhancing the consumer video and audio experience. New functionality includes:

  • 4K@50/60, (2160p), which is 4 times the clarity of 1080p/60 video resolution
  • Up to 32 audio channels for a multi-dimensional immersive audio experience
  • Up to 1536kHz audio sample frequency for the highest audio fidelity
  • Simultaneous delivery of dual video streams to multiple users on the same screen
  • Simultaneous delivery of multi-stream audio to multiple users (up to 4)
  • Support for the wide angle theatrical 21:9 video aspect ratio
  • Dynamic synchronization of video and audio streams
  • CEC extensions provides expanded command and control of consumer electronics devices through a single control point

HDMI 2.0 does not define new cables or new connectors. Current High Speed cables (Category 2 cables) are capable of carrying the increased bandwidth.

Will have to wait and see if the upcoming generation of consoles will have this in their updated editions.

8 wireless controllers at once

By this time, I’m confidant that you already heard that the upcoming Xbox One will support up to 8 controllers at once. The question is’ will it get a proper use?

Short answer: NO.

Long Answer: YES.

While I cant think of any serious game to take advantage I do have some suggestions.

                                • Sport Games
                                • Wrestling Games
                                • Party Games
                                • Fighting Tag Games
                                • Bomberman
                                • Puzzle Games
                                • Strategy Games

While the above list is nowhere complete, it should give the idea that the 8 controller thing van be beneficial as opposite to just some extra feature that no one cares about.

Not Sure (Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter)

As a big fan and collector I got very excited finding this on eBay, that is of course after seeing the $100 tag.

I own Xmen vs Street Fighter with the 4MB card already so skipping this pack and getting game only makes sense, but on the other hand getting this gem from a collector point of view is a must.

I will probably get it at some point, just hope its sooner then latter as prices go up every year.

Single, game only version.

Urban Trial Freestyle

uf

While browsing Steam I came upon this; Urban Trial Freestyle. I don’t know how I missed this game as I’m in love with trials Evolution.

From what it looks like, the game is basically an updated version of Trials but that doesn’t mean its a bad thing. Guess will wait and see as I didn’t try the PS version.
