I managed to pick up the Samsung Galaxy Buds Core when they were heavily discounted about a year ago. Since recently switching to the iPhone 15 Pro, mainly for its superior camera, I decided it was finally time to give them a proper try.

Getting them paired with the iPhone was a little confusing at first, but I eventually got them connected. Unfortunately, the experience hasn’t been entirely positive.

My biggest issue is the fit. The earbuds don’t seem to stay securely in my ears, and I haven’t found them particularly comfortable to wear. I also couldn’t get the official Samsung app to recognise or connect to them, although connecting directly through the iPhone’s Bluetooth settings works just fine.

I’ve never really been a fan of in-ear earbuds to begin with. However, my large Sony headphones can be a bit cumbersome, especially when working or going for a run. So, I suppose it’s a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils.

For now, I’ll keep using the Buds Core and see if I eventually get used to them.
