I woke up a little later than usual after taking some time off due to tiredness and a headache. Later in the day, I decided to head to the Old Town and check out the local gaming shop.
My original plan was to look for Diablo III for the Nintendo Switch, as I’m specifically after a physical copy with offline support. Unfortunately, they only had the PS5 version of Diablo IV, which I decided to skip since I’ll most likely be picking that one up on PC.
I browsed through the used games section and came across Assassin’s Creed Unity, but it was missing the original artwork and its code, making it not worth the asking price. I did, however, spot PS5 copies of Test Drive and Need for Speed.
Seeing Test Drive brought back some memories. I remember coming across Test Drive 6 on PC at the old bookstore in the mall. It’s funny how certain games can take you straight back to a completely different time and era.
One of the more interesting finds was Tomba! 1 for the Nintendo Switch. I’ve always loved Tomba and played both games back in the day. I even managed to get hold of the original PS1 version. This particular release is the remastered version, with a physical edition published by Limited Run Games. The price wasn’t too far off what I could find on Amazon, so I decided to go ahead and pick it up.
I also kept an eye out for Tomba! 2 and Grandia II, but unfortunately, neither was available. I’ll probably have to order those online instead.
I’m still on the lookout for a physical copy of Diablo III. While I’ll mainly be playing the game on PC, I really enjoy having physical editions in my collection, especially when it comes to games I want to keep and revisit over the years.
Not a bad little gaming trip overall, especially with Tomba! 1 making its way into the collection!
