Tekken 7 will allow both fighters to be on the same side of the screen

A problem that existed since day one in fighting games; fighting over the side of the screen. No to sound superior or anything but I managed to overcome this problem by learning to play on both sides in Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Never the less, this was annoying many players as each of us may have a favorite side to start on regardless of the fact that both are equal.

The introduction of feature aims to solve this by switching the camera to make you view your fighter from the desired side. I must say this is a brilliant idea and I’m surprised it took this long to implement.

I hope we will start to see more ideas like this and implement them in more games like Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter. Fighting games did not refresh for a long time so any feature regardless if small is welcomed.

Anderson Silva doesn’t deserve a title shot

Man the UFC is losing credibility faster than the next gen’s online play. Dana white announced that should Anderson Silva deafeat Diaz he will get another title shot at the UFC middle weight championship.

I have nothing against the spider and wont try to take away his accomplishments but another title shot after defeating an outranked fighter? This soon? Man the UFC must be so desperate for views first signings CM punk, a zero experience fighter for ratings sake and now giving Silva another title shot? Man if this keeps up the UFC will lose the remaining credibility as a real sport.

Silva lost by know out the first fight and got dominated till the leg break in the rematch so whats the big idea of another title shot? At least make him earn the shot by defeating 2 to 3 ranked fighters than and only than talk about another title shot.

I do realize Silva is not anyone but making him leap frog to the championship fight is a disrespect to all the hard working fighters in that devotion. By this logic Brock Lesnar should get a tittle shot when he returns later this year. I realize that UFC is a business but would Lakers sign a celebrity into it’s NBA team for views sake?

Chris Weidman worked hard and earned his title shot, giving Silva a cheap quick rematches is a disrespect to the current champion.

Now I must admit, the upcoming fights will be interesting as Vitor Belfort’s fight will truly test the current champ and the winner of this match will face Silva should he defeat his firs opponent after his return. Some will argue that the excitement of fights is that matters to which I will reply with: Would you be excited to watch Justin Bieber fight Rob Van Dam in the octagon? Exactly.

Adding Shaheen will boost Tekken 7 sales

Smart move. Adding Shaheen to the next Tekken will boost the sales as more gamers will want to pick it up to play as one of their own. Saudi Arabia and the meddle east is a large market and adding something that resembles it in the game will surly end up paying.

Now from my own point of view, the character resembles a middle eastern guy minus the pants may I add. Adding stuff is always a good thing although I’m surprised he is not a DLC or is he? Good news to Arab gamers and hope to see more features and new characters make refresh the series even though I am not a tekken fan.

Happy New Year

The year 2014 was full of ups and downs life and gaming wise but it is now over and for better or worse a new year is here. I would like to wish everyone a happy new year full of joy and gaming. My wishes to all is may all your dreams come true by hard work and little luck 😉

New year gives us a chance to work on our short comings and becoming better people. And while I always say; every day is a new chance, a new year makes it better for some people to re-plan the goals and wishes for their lives so more power to them. And while 2014 was not that bad, a hopefully better 2015 is around the coroner.

Myself? I have set a few goals that I will be working on that in general makes me feel excited and looking forward. I will be getting married soon hence need to rearrange my gaming spending’s but that’s OK since I get my games at mostly eBay and Amazon. The other things include taking my YouTube and Gaming blog to the next level with a few surprises that I will be talking about in the next weeks.

I have also decided to get back in shape and even return to Aggressive Inline skating even though I wont be that aggressive like I used to. There are a few other points I cant recall but the most important ones are becoming a better person and taking my passion a step further. All in all, New Year is here and with that a chance for everyone be it career, hobby or simply trying something new.

Once again, wishing everyone a joyful New Year and looking forward to 2015 games and systems. Happy New year to all.

Microsoft is working on a new VR Headset for Xbox One

VRFocus confirmed that Microsoft is working on a new Virtual Reality Headset for the Xbox One. Not surprising since this is a direct response to Sony’s Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift.

What I don’t understand is; Why are Sony and Microsoft spending time and money on gimmicks? There will be a time for virtual reality and the matrix but it is not this day. Concentrate on fixing your consoles and optimize them. Fix the whole 1080p drama and help develop bugs free games. Time and energy is spent on failed so called future tech that no one will probibly care about, just like the Wii controller, just PS cam, just like Xbox kinect and so on.

I remember when the 3D craze was just getting started and they were selling us that the home 3D screen are the future only that no one cared and android smart TVs were flying off shelf instead.

When will the big boys realize that we just want proper games? This whole next gen future gadgets thing is getting out of hand. Gone are the days when I can simply insert the CD and start the game. Now we have to download 15GB+ day one patches and hope that games will be fixed later.

I am yet to find a reason to buy a next gen console as I can get everything on the PC for way cheaper and better. I find my self interested more in retro than the modern era consoles and crap like this only makes me want to stay in the past.

Nintendo on the other hand is trying to stay true to gaming but the horrible Wii U 3rd party support and the overpriced controller is killing them. Gaming companies should go back into making games fun to play and enjoyable instead on concentrating on crap no one is asking for.

Noe excuse me while I go look for food while browsing eBay for some real old school games. Out.

New Steam Controller design appears in the latest Steam beta

The latest Steam controller concept update was discovered in the new Steam client beta. While I’m not nig on this controller concept to be honest or even the upcoming Steam OS which is basically a Linux distro; this is good for competition and ideas.

The controller itself looks decent, nothing special but has the Steam feel into it. I need to hold it and game with it for sometime to give final judgment but I’m happy that someone is making something new in tech and gaming. Your thoughts?

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Dual Pack is the strangest thing in pokemon

Strange in a sense of “that will never happen” way. Nintendo capitalized on selling the same game twice under the multiplayer excuse and I’m fine with that as pokemon made me love the original gameboy. I have played and enjoyed all the pokemon games up to date and even used to watch the show and this is by far the strangest thing I thought we will never see.

Why am I making a big deal about it? For starters you were not meant to own the other version, instead you had to find a friend to trade with. At least that was the idea. Seeing both games together in this awesome pack for $79.92 made my day. The 200 potions feels out of place but a good free bonus. Overall, a great package.

Games take too much space

It is the year 2014, video games has grown to the point that a single game install can take up to 50 GB+ let alone day one patch of 20 GB. This is becoming an issue to a growing number of gamers as hard disk space is something to be considered very seriously. Fast internet to download monthly patches is a luxury many don’t have including myself.

Now I know that games are getting bigger and more space is used by all the HD stuff and what not but I’m sure that sure that developers, if worked hard could come up with a way to optimize and compress the content without noticeably effecting the quality. We are doing this to video files since I don’t know when using Handbrake or other software so whats the problem with games? Compress the videos and music but give me a smaller install requirement any day. Allow the option of selecting the install type and video/music quality to save disk space.

The other thing is the day one 1GB patch thing; take your time developing and optimizing. I understand that bugs are found after release but not this much. Assassin’s Creed Unity had over 300 bugs that are being fixed with patches, don’t tell Uobisoft did not know about that.

The simple fact is developers are rushing the games out half finished with hopes of fixing them along the line and that is something I hate! I can wait an extra month or two so please take your time and optimize. Gone are the days where developers had to figure of the PlayStation one and Sega Saturn to take a full advantage and release an optimized version and there were no patches back then. Now its all about money and quick yearly releases with little to no effort put in.

I really hope that future games become less space demanding and fully playable day one. Is that so much to ask?

Pokemon goes V.R using Oculus Rift

A dream come true for old school Nintendo and Pokemon fans. Pokemon has gone VR. Well not really but this test created by a developer using a motion control and Oculus Rift.

How do I personally feel? I don’t know. Sure it’s cool to be using VR in games but are we there yet? And the most important question; Will this be the next 3D? I remember the craze that came along with the new 3D technology, I my self own a 3D TV and I am yet to test it. Truth is, no body cares any more. The hype shifted to the smart TV which is basically running android on your TV. And with the whole Facebook, Oculus Rift deal things can go south.

I’m not saying this is the next gimmick but I also not sold that this is the future. Just like flying cars, this is just something we are not yet ready to do. Concentrate on making Great games > This VR thing.

I just don’t want this to be the next Wii controller. Doing VR for the sake of VR. Concentrate on making great games and ~~when~~ if Oculus Rift becomes mainstream then and only then jump on the train. Now I realize that no official statement or support been made regarding this but I feel like developers will take note and try to early adopt for the sake of adoption.

I said it twice, I will take great games over new gimiks any day.
