Its been sometimes since I ordered something retro related, or was it? Anyway, I managed to pickup something nice; Dremfall Game of the Year edition. The game of the year edition includes the original and amazing The Longest Journey game as well as the Sound track CD and ofcourse Dreamfall.
The Sega Saturn modem was supposed to come brand new and it did, except that the box is torn and ripped open supposedly by the checkup reps..
The Super Mario world is something I always wanted but struggled to find new or in good shape so this will have to do, if only the batteries would last forever…
Amway, its great to receive retro stuff and still waiting for my BioHazard PS1 version.
All the way from Japan and to my new place; Sega Touring Car Championship for Sega Saturn. This gem is responsible for my early Saturn memories. A racing game with only three trucks not including the hidden two and only about four cars, where is the fun? That my friend is something I cannot answer. Maybe its the classic SEGA feel? Maybe its good memories or maybe its classic old racing?

I know I can get the GOG version and I already own it, but I just love physical media and collecting big box versions. I even enjoy truble shotting olfd games to run on my PC. Call me crazy but this is life :J
Love it or hate it, you are interested in some level. The design itself is not bad and have this futuristic feel although it kind of looks like a Xbox One controller in some way. Only one Analog Stick? Who thought that its a great idea needs to be fired! The track pad thing needs to be played with before giving judgment so no comment there although I feel it will fail.
All in all, the controller looks amazing but the missing stick is a deal breaker to me. I just hope that games will continue to support both 360 pad and this one.

Ever since Hatred was announced and shown things went south very quickly. Many stores, including Steam at once refused to carry the game and Twitch even made a clear statement that streaming AO games will not be allowed considering Hatred will most probably end up with an AO rating. What’s the deal?
Video games promote violence
Long before Hatred, many news and so called justice warriors claimed that video games make people go crazy and violent. Despite many studies that proofed else, these fanatics continue to fight gaming as if it was Satan’s gift to sinners.
The real question is; Why aren’t movies and music attacked as much? After all, hate rap songs can be heard in music stores across the world with violent movies following such as The Human Centipede and A Serbian Film.
To this day I haven’t heard a real answer to the above question so I just came to a conclusion that the media is simply attacking gaming because it is considered the newts form of entertainment.
Blame the new guy for everything even though gaming is not so new by now and countless studies suggest that gaming makes a heather mind behavior.
Of course idiots make it worse by gaming for 3 days non stop, dying and ruining gaming for everyone. Despite the few, this should not be held against gaming as idiots do idiotic stuff every day like drinking water to death or jumping of a building.
What I’m trying to say is; don’t blame gaming for someones mental condition. Playing a war board game does not make me a commander and playing a video game does not make me a criminal.
Microsoft recently announced Edge, the new replacement for its legacy browser Internet Explorer. It’s not secret that IE has brought shame over Microsoft for its old and not so polished web browser mainly version 6, and although things has changed for the better in later updates the reputation haven’t.
All that is behind us as Microsoft reenter the browser wars with its new as the name suggest cutting Edge web browser. “Labeled as Gets things done” we can only assume that the new browser should make every day tasks little easier. Unfortunately we don’t have a final version so any speculations at this point are not 100% accurate as the browser is still in its early alpha/beta stage but judging from Microsoft bold statements things look promising.
It is worth noting that Edge will be Windows 10 exclusive meaning no backwards compatibility with older Windows but Microsoft promised to keep support of IE little longer due to corporates  still using it.
So wait, downloading giant patches is a thing now? First Halo the masterchief collection and now this? So releasing broken games with a promise that future updates will make it more playable is slowing becoming the norm, just ask assassin’s creed unity.
Rage aside, the latest Mortal Kombat X Steam update simply deletes your whole save file along with statistics and progress. Do developers test their games anymore? It is very sad that players who progressed and worked hard for game statistics are getting back to zero to start all over again with no future guaranties that this wont happen again. Sad indeed.
On another note, why downloading 10 GB+ patches is becoming the norm? Its like downloading the whole game again. Not everyone has fiber optics internet speed and most don’t want to wait days to finis the download. I understand that game breaking bugs are discovered after release but putting more testing in place is the key, NOT pushing out broken games.
Back in my days Sega Saturn games had zero patches and was playable since day one. Developers: Please take your job more serious or else don’t cry when you end up like Capcom.
This question brings back memories of people arguing that Extreme Sports are not real sports. Doing aggressive rollerblading I know what it feels like to start from nothing and work your way up with practice, gaining skill and getting better everyday so why is it exactly not a real sport considering I actually exercise?

After thinking for a while I came to the conclusion that any competitive activity that involves skill, training and competition can be considered a sport. Why must it be a ball game for it to be recognized and considered a sport? Now comes the important question: Can gaming be considered an eSport? Of course, here is why:
Its a skill and training thing
You work your way from nothing to the top by hard work, training and learning especially in competitive games like Counter Strike. If gaming was easy then everyone would have been a pro.
Its Competition
Playing against another human is tricky. Unlikely the predictable AI, humans can adapt and learn on the fly learning more of your gaming style and counter it with practice.
Its called eSport for a reason
eSports stands for electronic sports and that’s exactly what competitive gaming is about. You compete electronically. Who made the rule that a sport needs to involve your body physically?
People keep giving chess layers hard time cause its not a real sport but if you ask me it takes more practice and strategy than soccer, sorry but its true. Anything that involves the above mentioned points should be considered sport in my opinion. The world is constantly evolving and so should our thoughts. We need more sports and entertainment not less.
And to the idiot Colin Cowherd who apparently have a grudge with gaming; Its not our fault that your stuck in stone age era with debunked stereotypes about gaming. I for one welcome the idea that idiots like you should do us all a favorite and quit. Not liking something is one thing, being an ignorant idiot is another.
